Rachel Schaeffer, MA, is the author of Yoga for Your Spiritual Muscles (Quest Books, 1998), which won the Benjamin Franklin Gold Seal for Excellence in Psychology. She was chosen as Quest Books’ featured author to appear at the American Booksellers Association (ABA) convention in Chicago.
The former yoga editor for Natural Health magazine, Rachel is currently a contributing writer for Positive Impact Magazine. She writes their celebrity pieces and a column called “The Living Treasures” including pieces on George Clooney, Sally Field, Robert Redford, Clint Eastwood, Nelson Mandela, Willie Nelson, Hannah Storm, and Jane Goodall.
Rachel studied and teaches at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA. She has led numerous workshops at Kripalu’s international teacher conferences. She taught at Montclair State University and Caldwell College in New Jersey for nearly a decade.
