My name is Meli and I am originally from Barcelona, Spain.
I started my Yoga journey at a very young age when my parents introduce meditation in our daily routine.
I grew up around forests, mountains and rivers; and I spent my childhood surrounded by nature and animals.
I studied Naturopathy (use of natural resources to heal and prevent diseases) which includes diet, use of essential oils and scents as well as Reiki and Reflexology.
To do so, I moved to the “big city” of Barcelona in where I had the urge to practice more and more Yoga to handle the very much different pace of the city. I felt disconnected from Mother Nature so I increase my Yoga practices and I began to explore its different paths.
When I finished my studies I moved to Costa Rica to attend my very first Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha Vinyasa. I stayed there for over a year, learning and doing Karma Yoga for the locals.
I came back to Europe, this time to England in where I teach for another year. After that I went to the roots, I went to Rishikesh in India, for six months, to study traditional Hatha Yoga and Yoga philosophy. In March I came back to Barcelona, Spain in where I’ve been teaching since then.
My teachings are based, grounded and rooted on the discipline of traditional Hatha Yoga, because I respect so much the knowledge of the ancestors that I like to keep the tradition as it helps you to stay grounded and humbled. But I also add a sense of ease, fun and freedom that are more connected and linked to my own nature and character. This is why I do also teach Vinyasa, Yin and Yoga Nidra.
My classes are usually outside as the benefits of the practices increase up to 95%! So I encourage you to take your Audible Yoga with you and go outside to practice ;-)
This is a Yin Yoga class that focuses on the spine mobility to open the upper body with grace and stability. Every move is attached to the African Healing drums that makes us travel through its music...
