Jenlyn started yoga as a home practice in 2009 to help deal with emotional and physical trauma. She quickly realized that yoga is much more than just poses and fell in love with sharing yoga as a tool for healing mentally, physically and spiritually. Jenlyn enjoys practicing yoga outdoors as often as possible as it creates a deeper connection with nature. She believes that her mat is a safe place to embrace the good and bad within you without any judgement.
As an instructor, she considers herself more of a 'guide' rather than an 'instructor'. The practice of yoga is your own. If something does not feel right within you, skip it or find a different variation. Jenlyn enjoys teaching beginners, restorative, hatha, vinyasa flow and classes for children. She enjoys working with students of all ages and experience levels. Inspired by many other teachers, mentors and authors, she loves creating new sequences and often teaches classes with a balanced mix of faster asana to get the blood flowing and long relaxing savasana to reach total relaxation.
