Eva Barash is the director of Living Room Yoga. She has been practicing since 1995, and teaching since 2000. Through her teaching experience, Eva has learned to respect each and every student as a complex web of energy and life. Her teaching takes this person, this bundle of energy and mass, and looks to calm, untangle, release and energize them through to the very core of their being. Her style is tailored to the student that she is teaching, and blends Iyengar, Vinyasa, and traditional Hatha Yoga. Eva lives and teaches yoga in the living rooms of Brooklyn and New York City, where her classes are an exciting blend of East and West, energy and relaxation, and strong and soft. Certified to teach prenatal, post partum, restorative yoga and yoga for children, she created Living Room Yoga after completing an intensive basic and advanced teacher training in India.
Yoga Style: Hatha
This is the very first Living Room Yoga Class! In honor of that, I will be speaking to your neck and shoulders, and gently, kindly, asking them to let go of you, and relax.
Yoga Style: Meditation
Find a comfortable place to sit, close your eyes, and let me take you to where it is possible to be really, really quiet. This meditation includes five minutes of silence.
Yoga Style: Sivananda
All you need is a sticky mat, or nice floor, or mountain top(!) to do these sun salutes. I go through 5 of them, on each side. They will warm your spine, strengthen your body, and remind you that...
This class will help you tone and position your uterus, and soften your belly. (Hard bellies are no fun, not healthy!) Men, you can do this too; you won't get pregnant, I promise.
