Deep relaxation for body and mind plus revitalization for spirit through guided visualization based around the chakras, 7 points along the spine which regulate the flow of energy in daily life. Yoga nidra is a style of meditation that integrates practices of body scanning, setting an intention (sankalpa), breath work (pranayama), and creative visualization to give your nervous system time and space to integrate with your senses and emotions for total system reset. Benefits can include: better sleep, ability to manage stress, clarity, creative inspiration, supporting adrenal glandular function and hormonal stress, more focused energy... and that's just the beginning. For this session, there is nothing you need to do except lie comfortably on your back. Optionally, you may place a rolled blanket or a bolster under your knees, an eye pillow or soft towel over your eyes, or a blanket over your body for warmth. If lying down is not comfortable, you can also do this practice sitting in a supported position. No previous experience is required.
