This class provides a little taste of several yin yoga postures. I didn't want to take precious class time to provide an introduction of what yin yoga is and how it differs from yang (for example, vinyasa) yoga, so if yin is new to you, I suggest checking out http://www.yinyoga.com/ before you start to get an idea of what this practice is all about. This yin class addresses the gall bladder and liver meridians, so it's nice to do as a preparation for (or during) a spring cleanse. You might choose to diffuse an organic lemon essential oil during your practice to complement the detoxification that you're encouraging with your postures. Because this class is only an hour, the hold times for each posture are much shorter than they usually are. If you'd like, you can extend the length of this class by pausing the audio while you are in each pose.
