This slow, simple restorative practice will take you on a plant's journey ... from a seed in the earth to a fully opened flower on display. The more different kinds props you have handy, the more options you'll have for support throughout practice. A variety of cushions in a range of sizes, shapes and thicknesses are particularly helpful. You simply need to adjust the props by following the instructions, and then finesse them to a place that allows you to find utmost rest. In addition to a couple of simple breath practices, this class includes guided instruction on an alternate nostril breath toward the last half hour--do give it a try if it's something you haven't done before. Consider joining us by diffusing some essential oils during this practice if you wish. I followed our journey through postures and plant stages by using organic oils from Mountain Rose Herbs (Marjoram, orange, geranium and lavender), finally culminating in my Gypsy Spring blend of those oils, along with patchouli.
