We begin our exploration of the niyamas, or yogi practices, with a discussion of saucha, or purity. We'll try out a variety of simple movements of arms and legs throughout class, culminating in some more complex postures toward the end of class, including Baddha Virabhadrasana (Humble Warrior) and Nataranjasana (Dancer). The idea is to keep your movements as simple and easeful as they were when you were practicing them individually, which might mean you keep your movements small and not take all the variations presented.
