Blocks, bolsters, a blanket, a chair, a sandbag, an eye pillow, whatever you've got handy ... bring it for this class! Restorative practices are so much sweeter when your body is completely supported. We'll start with some gentle breath-to-movement at the start of class, learn some ways to work with all these different props, then get right into the restful, floor-based shapes. Here's a link so you can see the pec minor trigger point I talk about during the supine twist: https://www.muscle-joint-pain.com/trigger-points/trigger-point-self-treatment/pectoralis-minor/ If you'd like to join us aromatically, you might like to diffuse some ylang-ylang essential oil during your practice, enjoying the sensual tropical fragrance and letting it transport you to vacation mode. P.S. Just to clarify, I misspoke ... there are three lobes of the lung on the right side, and two on the left side ;) Photo credit: Fournier & Malloy Photographers
