An accessible journey through all the lunar phases--with a focus on the biggest and brightest--connecting to the energy of the ocean. We move through such postures as ardha chandrasana (half moon) and malasana (squat), moving in a circle from one side to another, as we work to take stock of what the recent weeks have left for us. There is also discussion of the setup for trikonasa (triangle pose) sprinkled throughout. This class includes time to explore chandra bhedana (moon piercing) breath. This inhaling through the left nostril and exhaling with the right helps quiet the mind and cool the body. If it were up to me, I'd love for you to have four blocks for this class. But if you only have two--or none--that's fine, too. As long as you feel supported during your practice. You might choose to diffuse some essential oils that connect you to the full moon during this practice. We used my blend of sweet orange, Australian sandalwood and rosewood oils.
