This class was recorded in the great wide open of northern WI, so that's what we did with the movement, too - made everything big, wide, and open. You'll be open and broad across the back, shoulders, chest, and even dare to go "outside the lines" with your foot position. You'll find postures typical of a "vinyasa" such as Down Dog, Up Dog, Plank, and Push up (beginner options are offered). Arm variations will be used in Crescent (Warrior 1 option) and Warrior III to make space in the upper body and your Wide Angle Standing Forward Fold will get twisted to keep you reaching out. Meanwhile, you'll be drawing your lower belly inward to help lift the rib cage, chest, and spine. Intuitive movement is invited into your Seated Wide Angle Forward Bend to help release any tension in the lower back and side waist. The practice will leave you feeling both relaxed and uplifted. We'll start in a comfortable seated position that allows for freedom of movement.
