This class explores the third chakra with postures that focus on the body's center, both dynamic and static. A round of dedicated breathwork sets the stage for the practice, and provides a nice focus especially for prenatal students (though you certainly don't need to be expecting to benefit from this class!). Knee issues? Follow the cues I give Paula, who uses a chair throughout practice, and a wall during the second half of class for Salabhasana (Locust) variations. Want to join us aromatically? Consider diffusing an essential oil that resonates with the solar plexus chakra. We used lemon oil, but vetiver and chamomile are nice choices as well. Photo credit: Fournier & Malloy Photographers
