A strap provides some nice support while we explore postures like Ardha Dhanurasana (Half Bow) and Natarajasana (Dancer). There are lots of options, whether you're seated on a chair for most of class like Paula, using a couch back for support while you're standing, or finding your balance during standing postures, maybe with the assistance of the strap. We do spend some time on knees during this class, so feel free to curl the side of your mat over (or perhaps use a towel) to provide some extra padding. And I always appreciate the support of two blocks during any practice :) If you'd like to join us aromatically during this holiday-themed class, you might want to diffuse some seasonal oils, such as the organic frankincense and myrrh we used.
