With postures progressing toward Garudasana and an exploration of Garuda mudra, this class provides focus on the rib cage, throat, upper spine, sternum, and even the thyroid. There are lots of options for arm variations, and plenty of support for the balance itself. We use the wall toward the end of class, but you can also do this shoulder stretch while you are lying on your mat if no wall space is available. Expecting? Follow the cues I give to Katie. If you'd like to join us aromatically, you might consider diffusing an essential oil for balance, such as geranium, clary sage, ylang-ylang, hyssop, lavender ... or a even a blend of two or more oils.
