This class allows you to explore what balance means to you in this present moment, by using postures in a variety of orientations, as well as breath and hasta mudra (hand positions). With a focus on functional movement instead of "nailing the pose," we have fun playing with mindful weight shifts for traditional postures such as Ardha Chandrasana (Half Moon), Dekasana (Airplane), Vrksasana (Tree) and more. If it were up to me, I'd have two or three blocks handy, plus a blanket. But whatever props you might have will work for this practice. If you'd like to join us aromatically, consider diffusing one or more of the oils in my special blend for mental and emotional balance: lavender, geranium, clary sage, frankincense, and ylang-ylang. Note: This class is a longer version of the 60-minute "What does balance mean to me today?" with additional postures. PC: Fournier and Malloy Photographers
