Faith and Flow into Splits

This class leads to the peak pose of Hanumanasana (Monkey pose), or splits, which brings a deep stretch to your quads/thighs, hip flexors, and hamstrings. The monkey god, Hanuman, leaps from the southern tip of India to the island of Sri Lanka in an act of faith. Begin seated. You'll need two blocks and a blanket. You'll first be led through a body sensing exercise and then through a breath counting exercise. You'll enter into warmups and preparatory for poses and be led into monkey pose. Guided final relaxation. A great class for sciatica-like pain!
